Mayor of Tinian in CNMI appoints economic adviser for Tinian-China matters

The Mayor of Tinian in the Northern Marianas has appointed a special economic adviser for Tinian-China matters.

Mayor Ramon Dela Cruz has named Jia Tie Liang as the advisor, who accepted the appointment this week.

The appointment is until May 2012, and includes preparing plans for different kinds of development projects on Tinian.

One current project involves a China-based group of investors who are planning to build a 50 million to 70 million US dollar boardwalk on Tinian.
