Solomon Islands stands to benefit millions of dollars from EU

Solomon Islands stands to benefit from over 14 million US dollars if it continues to maintain its eligibility with the European Union.

The European Union chargé d'affaires, Mbaye Abdoul-Aziz, says in the mid-term review of cooperation with the ACP countries, Solomon Islands was rated among the best performers and will receive additional funds in that regard.

The Solomon Star reports the improvement of EU-Solomon Islands cooperation was only possible because of the excellent drive to reforms of the Solomon Islands Government.

Dr Abdoul-Aziz says the commitment to consultation and coordination with development partners created a wave of change.
