Vanuatu's new prime minister, Serge Vohor, has warned foreigners not to interfere in the country's internal politics.
In a statement he says the new government has information that some expatriates have become involved in local politics.
Mr Vohor is also promising a clamp-down on corruption.
He says the government is setting up a commission of inquiry to investigate allegations that diplomatic and ordinary Vanuatu passports were sold during the previous administration's tenure.
He says the minister of internal affairs, Joe Natuman, will investigate the allegations and if Vanuatu leaders or foreigners are caught, they'll be punished.
Mr Vohor says no one is above the law.
He also says the minister will look into claims about the misuse of copra subsidies, the sale of public green space in Port Vila and the mis-spending of thousands of dollars of aid money given by China.
