Northern Marianas politicians, including the governor, Benigno Fitial, have been invited to visit China by a casino developer.
The invitation from Bridge Investment Group is seen as an effort by the casino investor to strengthen ties with the Commonwealth as it pursues a multi million dollar casino and condominium project on Tinian.
Bridge Investment had planned to build a 200 million dollar project on Tinian, but scaled it down in early 2008 because of the economic crunch and uncertainties in immigration.
