Fiji and Samoa have been knocked out in the semi-finals at the Hong Kong Sevens tournament.
After topping pool D, Fiji edged South Africa in the cup quarter-finals before going down 19-14 to eventual champions New Zealand.
Samoa, who won the Hong Kong tournament in 2010, were beaten 19-14 by England in the other semi-final.
Tonga lost to the United States in the bowl quarter-finals.
The next round of the IRB World Series is in Adelaide this weekend.
