Vanuatu's Ministry of Justice and Community Services has posted security guards outside the Vanuatu National Council of Women offices after suspending Maryanne Bani, who was temporarily managing the body.
A court-appointed administrator, Arthur Faerua, says the justice minister, Ralph Regenvanu, suspended Miss Bani for allegedly using a falsified court order to appoint an interim team to run the office.
The Council, which is the umbrella organisation for women's groups, has also faced a legal battle over the appointment of its board president.
