Fiji's Tanivula looking to continue gradual improvement

Fiji Sevens coach, Iliesa Tanivula, believes his team is heading in the right direction going into this weekend's World Series event in Hong Kong.

Tanivula has made a number of changes to his team for Hong Kong, including recalling experienced heads such as Dale Tonawai and relieving Emosi Vucago of the captaincy.

He says the team showed a huge improvement last month in making the Cup final in Las Vegas and the aim is to keep that going.

"I guess for the top five or six teams at the moment they all have their chances to go out and increase their lead on the points table. It's the same with us - we just want to get out there and hopefully get the maximum points we can get and try and stay in the race for the world series title."

The three-day Hong Kong Sevens kicks off on Friday.
