Provincial government in Solomons enters tuna deal with South Korean company

The Rennell-Bellona Provincial government in Solomon Islands has approved a plan to have a joint venture with a South Korean company to catch and market tuna overseas.

The Province's Clerk to the Provincial Assembly says the assembly agreed on the proposal at its third meeting held last week.

The Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation reports the media officer as saying the Rennell-Bellona Provincial government believes it has one of the best fishing grounds in the country which will make the proposed tuna fishing joint venture a success.
