The funeral for the former Fiji president, Ratu Josefa Iloilo, will be held next Thursday.
The Fiji Village website reports the permanent secretary for defence, Jale Fotofili, saying Ratu Josefa's final journey through Suva will begin next Monday and his body will lie in state at Government House that day.
He says the diplomatic corps, civil society organizations and other groups can pay their final respects while the former president lies in state.
Mr Fotofili says the military will escort his hearse from Suva to Vuda on Tuesday.
Details of Ratu Josefa's funeral will be released later.
