Businesses in the Northern Marianas made 58 million US dollars more in April to June this year compared to the same quarter last year.

The Department of Commerce's latest quarterly economic indicators report shows that CNMI business gross revenue totaled almost 454 million dollars in the second quarter of 2010, a 14.7-percent increase from the same period in 2009.

Most economic indicators went down while visitor arrivals, average hotel occupancy rate and imports showed slight improvements.

Remittances slightly dipped from 16.2 million to 16.1 million dollars in the second quarter.

Vehicle sales also slightly went down from 203 to 195.
