Taiwan has made a 12,000 US dollar payment for funding towards the Savo/Russell Islands Copra Project in Solomon Islands for Central Province.
The Prime Minister Danny Philip says Savo/ Russells has lost many opportunities for development due to the ethnic tension and the government has no hesitation to endorse the rural people of Savo/Russell for such development projects.
The SIBC reports the Savo/Russell islands have a strong potential for copra production with communities who have been producing more high quality copra than any other island in the country.
