The Tahitian Football Federation has come out in support of Reynald Temarii after his suspension from the FIFA executive.
He was suspended for a year for breach of duties of loyalty and confidentiality and the general rules applicable to all FIFA officials.
This follows a sting by Britain's Sunday Times.
The Tahitian Football Federation says the FIFA decision rules out the suspicion of serious corruption, compensation, conflicts of interest, profits and acceptance of gifts and other benefits for personal.
The Federation adds that Mr Temarii intends to appeal against the suspension because it is based on a breach of the code of ethics for which he has never been heard or examined at the two hearings by the Ethics Committee of FIFA.
