Another party has reportedly emerged to contest Samoa's general elections in March.

The United Samoa People's Party, or USPP, made no public announcement of its existence.

However, a candidate for the Tautua Samoa Party, Afualo Dr. Wood Salele, says it is working closely with the USPP to unseat the government.

Afualo says they are of one body, one mind and one spirit with the USPP.

He says the ruling Human Rights Protection Party has done much good for the country, but his side can do a better job.

Afualo says government has become complacent..
