The Fiji police say they are inviting the public to give its input as they plan to develop the force in line with a strategic plan for the period 2011 to 2015.

The Deputy Director Planning, Superintendent Aporosa Lutunauga, has told FBC News that there will be a partnership process and a consultative forum in a bid to improve service delivery to the people.

Superintendent Lutunauga says one of the issues being looked at is the late police response to calls from the public .

The strategic plan was formulated last month.

The police changed leadership in August when Commodore Esala Teleni quit for personal reason and was replaced by Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua.
