Samoa's Attorney general's office is looking into the legal process and content of a TV3 story which questioned the whereabouts of millions of dollars of tsunami relief funds.

The government is considering filing a complaint to the New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority against the John Campbell Live show who reported the story.

The Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, says the allegations by Campbell Live that a balance of around 45 million US dollars is unaccounted for is grossly misleading.

Tuilaepa says the allegations lead to people to think that the tsunami relief and recovery funds have been misappropriated, but he says this is not true.

He says only 15 million US Dollars of the 80 million donated and pledged for the tsunami relief works has been received so far.
