Government employees in the Northern Marianas who did not receive their salaries during last Friday's payroll are expected to get paid today.
The Governor's Press secretary, Angel Demapan, says they should know this morning when the disbursement of checks will happen.
The scheduled payroll was last Friday.
However, because the central government was not able to collect enough cash to pay its some 4,000 employees, it had to prioritize the distribution of cheques.
