The Samoa under 19s rugby team is brimming with confidence heading into their second pool game of the Oceania Championship against American Samoa in Apia.

Samoa won their first match 109-nil against Tahiti, while American Samoa lost 57-5 in a friendly with Cook Islands.

The Samoa under 19s coach, Setu Tuilaepa says he watched the American Samoa- Cook Islands match, and think's he's identified their opponents weaknesses.

"I think their forwards are really good in set pieces so that's the thing that we're really planing for - we're working on set pieces and I want my boys to turn over the ball and use their speed in the backline to run the ball."

Setu Tuilaepa says the teams to beat at the tournament are PNG and Cook Islands, who play in today's other match.
