A post mortem has determined that a woman who died on a Polynesian Airlines flight from American Samoa to Samoa last week suffered a heart attack.

Natividad Garcia, a citizen of the Philippines who'd resided in the territory for 15 years, died enroute from Pago Pago to Fagalii Airport on July 12.

Samoa's Assistant Police Commissioner Leaupepe Fatu Pula says the autopsy report shows that Mrs. Garcia suffered a heart attack on the flight.

Leaupepe says Samoa's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with the Philippines consulate in New Zealand for the transport of the woman's body to the Philippines.
