Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister says its important for island nations of the Pacific to support one another in respective development challenges.
Sir Michael Somare's comments follow last week's meeting in Fiji, Engaging with the Pacific.
He says his Government wanted to engage with Fiji for the greater good of the Pacific family of nations.
Sir Michael says he wants to assist Fiji's return to parliamentary democracy and says PNG is ready to help wherever appropriate.
