The Labasa Sugar Mill will begin crushing from next Tuesday.
Radio Fiji reports the decision was made following submissions to the Fiji Sugar Corporation after consultations with the Sugar Cane Growers Council.
The Sugar Industry Tribunal has ordered that crushing at the Labasa Mill begin on the 22nd.
The Tribunal it is hopeful that the mill will commence crushing on time.
Growers and harvesting gangs are urged to begin harvesting from the 21st.
Labasa Mill will be the second mill to begin crushing for the 2010 season as the Penang Mill in Rakiraki enters its 3rd week of crushing.
