Fiji has this year recorded the largest number of tourist arrivals for the month of April.
The interim tourism minister, Aiyaz Saiyed-Khaiyum, says just under 45,000 people arrived, with growth in all key markets.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum says numbers from Australia were up by 19.6 percent, New Zealand by 11.2 percent and the US by more than 26 percent.
He says the previous record for April was set in 2006.
