Fiji's Taxi Union has asked the interim government for a credit data bureau, which will hold information on taxi operators and drivers.

The Union's general secretary, Rishi Ram, said the CDB would help keep track of taxi drivers who trick taxi operators and stole income from their employers.

Mr Ram told the Fiji Times they've received a lot of concerns from taxi owners in the past ten years of their drivers running away with their income, despite signing a contract with the owner.
