Samoa church conference raises tsunami aid issue

The donations for tsunami survivors is one of the main topics being discussed at the annual conference of the largest church in Samoa, the Congregational Christian Church of Samoa.

General Secretary, Reverend Dr Iutisone Salevao, said the church has assisted victims through monetary donations and also thousands of dollars worth of materials and food.

The meeting is also reviewing other areas where the church can be of help.

It will be making a 50,000 US dollar donation to the Samoa Kidney Foundation.

Also on the agenda is the multi-million-tala museum being built at church headquarters in Malua to preserve important church documents and artwork of students at the Leulumoega School of Fine Arts.

Construction of the museum is to be completed by the end of the year.
