10:08 am on 27 April 2010

Increasing growth and development in the Pacific through trade and investment will be the top priorities for Pacific trade ministers meeting this week in the Federated States of Micronesia.

Trade ministers from all the Pacific Forum Island Countries will meet in Pohnpei on Thursday to progress plans for the new regional trade and economic agreement, known as PACER plus.

The Secretary General of the Forum, Tuiloma Neroni Slade, says the meeting will be an important opportunity for ministers to consider and map out strategies to foster trade and development.
