The Fiji Rugby Union's finances are out of the red, after a year which saw it sell the rights to an international test match.
The union made a profit of more than 900,000 Fiji dollars in 2009, compared to a loss of about 750,000 dollars the year before.
Our correspondent, Satish Narain, says the turnaround is largely due to a one-off payment from England's Rugby union.
"Fiji had three test matches on offer under the IRB window in November last year. Fiji played against Ireland and Scotland, and gave up the test match match against England. England had requested for that, as they wanted to play Australian in a celebration game in Twickenham. So Fiji sold the rights to that game, and the Rugby Union of England gave the Fiji Rugby Union a quarter million pounds, which equated to close than 740,000 Fiji dollars."
