French exams to recruit high school teachers delayed by events in the Pacific

Events in the Pacific have for a second time delayed French exams to recruit high school teachers.

More than 2,000 candidates have had their tests deferred until late April because of the situation in Wallis and Futuna.

In February, the exams were delayed because Cyclone Oli threatened French Polynesia.

When exams are deferred in one place, they have to be delayed across all French territories to ensure all candidates have the same opportunity.
