The American Samoa Power Authority has reduced the working hours of its employees.

The Authority is shaving working hours for career service employees by two hours per week.

The chairman of the Authority's board, Asaua Fuimaono, said recently the agency was experiencing severe cash flow problems.

Revenues have dropped 12 percent due to the closure of Samoa Packing and the cutbacks in operations at the Star Kist Samoa cannery.
