5:09 pm on 28 January 2010

The weather service in American Samoa has cancelled all gale and flash flood warnings associated with Tropical Cyclone Nisha.

The storm formed near Tutuila island and affected Manu'a islands where minor damage was reported.

The cyclone is now on a track to the southern Cook Islands.

Carol Bacqui of the National Weather Service in Pago Pago says surf warnings remain.

"You have a high surf warning for Tutuila, Aunu'u and Manu'a and then we also have a high surf advisory for Swains Island."
