The interim Fiji government has terminated the contracts of three recently-appointed magistrates.
The Attorney-General's Office has confirmed that the contracts of Mary Muir, Elsie Hudson and Eparama Rokoika have been terminated by the Office of the President.
Fiji Live says no reason has been given.
The three were among new appointments to the bench late last year as part of a reconstituted judiciary following the abrogation of the 1997 Constitution in April.
Two other magistrates sworn-in at that time, including then Chief Magistrate Ajmal Gulab Khan, also had their contracts terminated later in the year.
