The Samoa Victim Support Group says its overwhelmed the government has approved its 95 thousand US dollars financial assistance request.

The core funding will be used for the organization's campaign to try to eradicate rape and indecent crimes against women and children.

The Group's case manager, Viliamu Pa'ese, says its anti-violence campaign will kick off next year in February.

Its previous two launch dates were postponed, one due to a lack of funds for the campaign, and the other due to relief operations to help tsunami victims.
