There is a call for a commission of enquiry into the dissemination of information during the recent tsunami whcih struck Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.
The call comes from businessman Papalii Grant Percival.
Papalii says he believes lives could have been saved if the right information about the tsunami was given.
He says the assumption, which is totally erroneous, is that if there is a tsunami everyone will all get hit equally.
Papalii says it's obvious that residents on the south coast of Upolu are much more at risk since the Tongan Trench is only 100 miles away.
Papalii says a proper risk assessment for each area should be conducted.
He also believes disaster preparedness training should be different for those living on the south coast which and those living on the north because the risks are not the same.
