Investigators in French Polynesia plan to have a range of confrontations among the suspects in the OPT corruption probe.
According to Tahitipresse, a former minister, Pascale Haiti, is to be interrogated with a jailed computer technician who is also alleged to have destroyed evidence.
Ms Haiti, who was charged and released after being detained for 10 days, is the partner of the veteran politician, Gaston Flosse.
He was charged with corruption last week.
The prosecutor says the French senate, which has so far refused to lift Flosse's parliamentary immunity, will be notified of the recent developments.
The Senate had rebuffed a request to lift his immunity last month because he had not been charged over the OPT affair.
Five people have been in jail for weeks as part of the probe which centres on allegations of fraud worth millions of dollars.
