Fiji has dropped a key player from the team taking part in next month's Oceania Beach Soccer Championships in French Polynesia because of visa issues.
Pita Bolaitoga was left out of the squad after the Fiji Football Association officials were told by the Immigration New Zealand office in Suva not to apply for Bolaitoga's transit visa because his father has military ties.
Fiji faces Tahiti, Vanuatu and favourites Solomon Islands in a round robin format with the top two sides playing off in the final.
The winner of the event will qualify to play in the Beach Soccer World Cup in Dubai in November.
