The Chinese government is to provide more than 200-thousand US dollars in assistance for the Ministry of Health in Samoa to help in their border control protection measures from swine flu.
The Minister of Health, Gatoloaifa'ana Amataga Gidlow, has thanked the Chinese government for the assistance, and says the supply of equipments will be used by medical staff assigned to test incoming passengers at the main international airport and the main Matautu wharf in Apia.
Meanwhile a group of students from a Melbourne high school in Australia have been quarantined at a hotel in Samoa over fears they may have swine flu.
At least one of the 25 year 9 students is showing flu like symptoms and is being tested for H1N1 symptoms.
