A former member of the American Samoa House of Representative, Avegalio Aigamaua, will be returning to the Fono soon but this time as a Senator.
He will be representing Fofo county following the death of Senator Tuitele Tuitele.
Local law states when vacancies occur in the Senate, the Governor shall issue writs of special election to fill such vacancies.
Fofo county held a traditional meeting last Saturday and agreed on Mr Aigamaua to fill the seat.
