Fiji's Acting Prime Minister, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, says the Prime Minister, Frank Bainimarama, will meet with the leaders of Fiji's Methodist Church to discuss the government's decision to cancel the church's planned annual conference in August.
The Commodore is due to return today from a month-long trip overseas.
Fiji Village website reports that Ratu Epeli says the Church will have to wait and see whether the interim Government will reconsider the ban.
In a joint statement on Saturday night, the police and the military said the conference had been cancelled because some political topics, which the interim Government would not condone, would be discussed.
