An NGO in Samoa, which works with victims of sexual or physical abuse, has been in New Zealand visiting groups who work in the same area of work.
The Samoa Victim Support group has been meeting with the local Samoan community in Auckland to talk about its work and raise awareness of its anti sexual and physical abuse message.
The group's secretary, Viliamu Paese, says his group was impressed with the work of a Samoan Women's refuge group in Auckland.
He says they will apply some of those ideas to their work in Samoa.
"The great thing that we see here is how Miss Susana and her team working together to make the women and children feel comfortable to where they are now, and we want to take that with us to Samoa."
Viliamu Paese says a lot of people during their meetings raised their concerns about the increasing sex crimes in Samoa.
The group are due to leave the country tomorrow.
