Broncos fancied for League title

Brisbane have rocketed up as favourites in National Rugby League premiership on the back of their undefeated start to the rugby league season that leaves the Broncos alone at the top of the ladder.

Brisbane's 26-10 win over the previously undefeated Warriors in Auckland has seen the 2006 premiers jump to equal second favourites behind defending champions Manly.

Last week the Warrior firmed in the premiership market after their come-from-behind win over Manly.

But they've fallen to third favourites on $8 after their home loss to the Broncos and with Test centre Brent Tate ruled out for the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.

The Broncos are $6 to win the premiership, behind Manly at $5.50, with Melbourne also rated the biggest threat to the Sea Eagles after their gutsy 26-12 win over North Queensland in Townsville.

The Warriors next opponents at Mt Smart, South Sydney, jumped up the ladder with a brilliant 22-12 come-from-behind win over Newcastle yesterday when St George Illawarra beat Cronulla 10-6.
