The Samoa Government is considering a pay rise for public school teachers.

This was revealed by Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi at the opening of a renovated primary school building in Mulifanua last week.

Tuilaepa says a special Parliamentary committee is looking at a request to increase the salaries of teachers to help cope with the rising cost of living.
