Police in American Samoa have arrested more than a dozen men in connection with the burglary of a Jewelry store in Nuuuli last month.

The store's owner said at the time of the break in that the value of the stolen items was around 100,000 US dollars.

One of those arrested in the burglary was a police officer.

It's alleged another one of the men arrested exchanged some of the stolen items for crystal metamphetamine or ice.

The government alleges that the other defendants all received the stolen items.

Bail for the defendants range from $17,000 to $20,000.

The jewelry store closed after the burglary.
