Can manufacturing company in American Samoa has concerns over wage hike

A can manufacturing company for the canneries in American Samoa says if the minimum wage increases goes into effect in May, the company's higher pay scale personnel will also get an increase to ensure fairness for all employees especially long time personnel.

Impress Samoa general manager. Graham Stubbs. told a House committee that prior to the mandatory annual hike in 2007, the company has continued to implement a wage hike for it's workforce.

Mr Stubbs said that higher paid personnel will be still be given a wage increase, when the third minimum wage increase takes effect.
