The first person has been sentenced under American Samoa's underage drinking law
District Court Judge Ward fined a Korean business woman, Hyun Sook Kim, 500 US Dollars for selling alcohol to a minor.
Ms. Kim was arrested early this month after a police officer saw her selling beer to a 19-year-old female in Fatu ma Futi.
Ms Kim pleaded no contest to selling alcohol to a minor.
Judge Ward said children drinking alcohol is a huge and ongoing problem in the territory.
