The price of Samoa's locally produced Vailima beer is expected to go up again for the second time this year since the last increase in July because of the high cost of imported raw materials.
The price also of the imported LP cooking gas will be increased for the third time as well effective from Wednesday.
The new wholesale and retail prices for both have not yet been released but the government's Price Control Board Committee has endorsed the increase in a meeting over the week-end.
The price control division of the Ministry of Labour and Trade says the committee has considered reviewing the prices of other goods mainly the imported basic food items because of the many complaints against over pricing by retail shops throughout the country.
