Cheaper airfares offered by newly launched airline Pacific Blue is expected to significantly boost tourist arrivals and the economy in Solomon Islands.
In congratulating Pacific Blue's launching its first flight into the country this week, the Chairman of the Visitors Bureau Sir Thomas Chan said the inaugural flight is a milestone in the development of the country's tourism industry.
The SIBC reports the airline is offering return air fares starting from around 2-thousand dollars return, from Honiara to Brisbane and vice versa.
