Fiji's President has said he will not dismiss the interim Cabinet and has confirmed that the regime will take Fiji into elections.
Responding to a call by the National Federation Party for the Cabinet's dismissal for failing to carry out the presidential mandate, the President's office maintained that responsibility would remain with the interim Government.
NFP secretary ,Parmod Rae, claims the correspondence from the presidential office, copied to the interim Attorney-General showed the office was being influenced by the regime.
Mr Rae told the Fiji Times the Attorney General was politically appointed and should not have been forwarded a copy of the letter, which instead should have been sent to the Solicitor General.
