Fiji's new national netball coach Melissa Walker says landing the job was a dream come true.

Walker whose netball experience expands more than 20 years in New Zealand signed a three year contract with Fiji Netball.

Walker who takes over from Vilimaine Davu, after the former Silver Fern returned to New Zealand, says it was a job made just for her.

"For me to have Fiji , I mean Fiji is a fantastic country in its own right. I mean you just have to look at their World Cup team they brought to New Zealand last year. Yeah jumped at the chance you know who wouldn't, you know, young up and coming coach like myself no it's everything I dreamed of."
