A random check on a man who was driving without a seatbelt has yielded the second biggest haul of illegal drugs so far in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas.
Two police officers in Saipan found 176 grams of "ice" worth $80,000 when they stopped a car being driven by a local garment worker who was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt.
The man has been charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and will appear for a preliminary hearing on September 22nd.
