EU and Samoa sign 65 million US dollar aid package

Samoa and the European Union have signed an agreement for an aid package of almost 65 million US dollars.

The Samoa observer reports that the beneficiaries are non government organisations, Micro-Projects programmes, and 49 other projects including support for schools, health services, and income generating activities.

Deputy Prime Minister Misa Telefoni who signed on behalf of Samoa said the beneficiaries of the aid will be grass-roots and poverty alleviating assistance projects.
