The co-chairs of the Arts Festival Committee have presented a preliminary financial report to the American Samoa Senate.
Fagafaga Daniel Langkilde said numbers may change but not significantly.
The festival's budget had been set at $4.6 million an estimated shortfall of $1.5 million.
But actual spending based on the bills received is just under $4 million.
Fagafaga estimated the outstanding payables at around $122,000.
He told the Senate the actual shortfall should be much less than the original $1.5 million estimate.
He said donations raised $616,000, much more than the estimated 280 thousand.
And the food voucher programme was also under budget
The committee plans to use any leftover money to show appreciation to some of the groups who, in the words of Committee chair, Senator Fiatauiaulava Sauni, " went that extra mile" for the festival.
