In Solomon Islands, the government will be seeking almost $30 million US dollars from Parliament to cover its spending for the rest of this year.

Finance Minister Snyder Rini says the money will be sought from parliament in the Supplementary Appropriation Bill to be tabled later this month.

Government says it wants the extra money to cater for its provincial development projects.

The appropriation bill comes four months after parliament passed the 143.5 million US dollar plus 2008 National Budget.
